Belted Galloway occurs as breed of Galloway cattle. These are the Scottish hybrid of Galloway and Dutch Belted.

This kine is notable for existence everthing nigrify, except for the large wide whiten belt going completely in the area of about its middle. It was bred originally by rich Scots shopping for a ocular differentiatation from either the herds or ("folds") of their poorer neighbors. Cows sustaining clear straight-lined belts come a virtually all prized.

These are predominently raised for beef, while the Dutch Belted is mostly a dairy cow.
